Brand and Brand Management

Brand extends to every interaction, encompassing employees, potential clients, and the digital realm, requiring strategic consideration for effective portrayal across all touchpoints. As an experienced designer, I possess the expertise in creating, managing, and implementing brand-related projects that consider the comprehensive scope of brand touchpoints.

In 2020, the Arcadis brand underwent a comprehensive transformation, encompassing a wide range of elements such as colors, tone of voice, and overall brand identity. As a core designer, I actively contributed to this process by participating in design sprints, creating templates, and leading training initiatives globally and in North America.

Redesigning Collateral

The InDesign templates underwent a significant overhaul, incorporating a new direction, grid, and style. The templates has been seamlessly integrated into campaigns, white papers, and brochures, enabling designers worldwide to craft unique designs that effectively embody the unified visual identity of the company.

Presented below are a selection of campaign layouts I created utilizing these revitalized templates.

Iconography and Information Graphics

To address the use of stock icons with varying line weights, styles, and colors, an Illustrator template was specifically crafted, accompanied by comprehensive guidelines to achieve visual cohesion. I also developed and delivered training sessions on icon design in North America.

The showcased illustrations below employ the technique of utilizing an active element to guide and draw the user's attention. I designed the San Francisco dock illustration for a blog post focusing on flood protection, highlighting mitigation efforts in orange. The digital twin sample also uses orange as an interactive element. This was featured on a webpage created in Ceros and was also reprinted in AWWA, highlighting its versatility and widespread utilization.

Events

Events represent a significant investment in time and resources, so event assets like booths are designed for reuse, employing high-level themes as the primary design foundation. When customization is required, banners and digital screen content meet that need. To enhance social media promotion, attendees can utilize branded and customizable templates to showcase their attendance.

Event sponsorships come in many forms, with ads selected from a pool of pre-designed options and resized accordingly. In instances of special sponsorships, such as the escalator wrap I designed in 2023, the artwork is tailored to meet specific requirements.

In cases where multiple stakeholders and designers are involved, an event style guide is developed to ensure cohesive alignment. This guide is a valuable resource for maintaining consistency across various aspects of the event.

SPARK - Ignite the Future 2018

As the creative lead for SPARK, an internal conference aimed at showcasing our strategy and offering workshops for staff, I collaborated closely with the events team to create a unified visual identity and experience. The event encompassed a range of elements, from banners, presentations, and swag, to assets used in the sessions and workshops. As a unique touch, I live-drew speeches by Arcadis CEO Joachim Ebert and the leadership team. I also attended workshops and gatherings, attentively listening, posing questions, and capturing impactful moments through graphic recordings. These visual representations were later distributed as keepsakes, serving as powerful reminders of the discussions, conversations, and energy experienced during the event.
